Pad sustain
Is there are way to sustain a pad sound without keeping it pressed down?
Location: Alberta, Canada
Yes there is, but you need to not think about the pads on their own. If you make the connection that the pads play notes (or groups of notes = chords) on the keyboard, then you realise you can use karma to achieve this like you find in many combis.

I think the problem is here that the M3 sends some controller data only on the global channel and personally, I consider it quite limited. If you use a sound on a different midichannel than the global, and assign it to the pads, the sound/timbre will not respond to sustain.
There is a way to set the pads to receive controller data in the global mode to a midichannel between 1 and 16. So, it can be done. Unfortunately, there is no option to select all.
