setting up the microKORG vocorder...?

Post by mryouronfire »

so i just got my microkorg yesterday...

and i've read and reread the directions and i just don't seem to get it...

so what im kindly asking for is

a more detailed walkthrough on setting up the vocorder, please and thank you.

also, the

presets A84 and up under the vocorder don't seem to work at all.

furthermore, the Audio 1 in light does not light up at all, maybe a little flicker when i shift the switch over, but it does not turn on whatsoever...is this a problem?

thank you all!

have you turned up the little black volume knob on the back right by the input?

hmm, im not sure how to diagnose your problem..

when youre on a vocoder program the lights turn green right?

and are you using the included mic?

im sure you already know this but you also must press a key to hear any sound as you are talking through the mic/playing audio in.

I also can't think of his problem. It's usually the simple stuff that gets overlooked and many don't know you have to press a key while talking thru the mic, that would be my guess. Keep us in the loop regarding any results, good luck.

i actually think it could be the actual microphone...

after all, this korg WAS bought as open box from display...

also, i tried hooking up an mp3 player to the korg with an audio cable.

immediately, the audio 1 lights started flashing, and when i pressed a key,

you could faintly hear what was playing on the mp3...

what does that tell me...

under "audio in 1" on the back, try adjusting the "volume 1" and make sure the toggle is set to "mic" not "line".

hope it helps.
