setting different velocity values in record mode?

Post by karen »

In this style kick drum notes are assigned to different velocity values. I would like to set them all to 100. Is it possible to do that without having to do them manually one by one? In the menu i see that i can choose a top/bottom range for a specific note, but it only lets me increase or decrease the values by percentage. Is there any way around this?

karen, I used the top/bottom range that you mentioned in record mode. When i go to Event Edit, it's no longer available. There's one "filter" option available, but it only filters certain parameters. I would like to change the velocities only for the snare drum. They're all over the place. Does any body know, how i can filter everything out, and only see the snare drum notes??

Hi Karen,
in EDit mode,
Choose Velocity
Make sure Advanced is NOT ticked.
Choose Drum Track
Choose Bottom Note/Top Note ( in case of Bass drum, probably B1, but just double check just in case it uses a different bass drum)

Take Velocity Value to +127 execute
( this will take all the (B1) bass drum notes to 127 to even out all the different B1 velocities.

Then Velocity Value to -27 execute,
You should now have ( B1) Bass Drum notes at 100.

You'll have to do it for each style part you want to alter.

Hi Tania,
just work out which note is the snare drum ( possibly the d2 or e2)
set top & bottom to the same note & do the same as Karen.
