Hi, I just found this forum and thought I would say a quick hello and thank you to the people that put it together.
My name is Mark and I own a Triton Extreme. I was in a garage band back in the early 80’s (that should give you an idea of my age).
I decided to purchase the Triton Extreme because my 14 year old son, who is a drummer, had started playing around with my Roland W30. Long gone are my Prophet 5, Roland VK-1 and Helpinstill Roadmaster 64 (l told you I’m old). My son was getting frustrated waiting for the different sounds to load from floppy on the W30 so we went out and found something a bit more modern and we have been having fun with our Triton ever since.
Looking forward to getting and hopeful giving advice here.

Welcome aboard, yeah I'd say you upgraded alright! You sound like my dad, a father who loves to get his son involved with music. He saw my eyes light up the 1st time I gazed upon his M1 in '88. He ended up giving it to me a couple years later. That moment still stands as one of the best of my life. No doubt your son appreciates what you do for him as well

Life is short, play a KORG!

It’s great seeing my son get involved in music. Last night, he came into my room and asked if I could help him figure out a song. Between what he had already figured out and with my help he had most of it down in less then an hour. I find him spending almost as much time on the keyboard as he does on the drums.
Anyway thanks for the welcoming posts
