my synth parts get cutoff during recording

Post by rckandorroll »

im trying to record a simple note progression with one of my synth effects, but whenever i want to stop recording, my last note is always cutoff during playback. i can't figure it out. i have another synth part that isnt doing that, but for this particular one i have to constantly play the notes.

help?

first of all, what electribe are you using?
it may be that you simply set the note length of the last noe too short, or that it overlaps with a new tone as the pattern begins again?

may be something not working well also..

It may just be a one off glitch. Has it happenrd before? Can you recreate it on another pattern? What happens when you extend the gate time? Try copying the pattern to another empty slot and see if it still happens there.

it does it everytime on every pattern. i don't get it. i hit record and then play and start recording. then, regardless of whether i hit record, stop or play/pause, it cuts off the first or last note depending on when i hit the button.

i don't get it. is there something different about recording synth parts with the step keys as opposed to the step keys when recording drums?

Sometimes you just have to work on your timing to make sure it gets recorded right. What envelope mode are you using? Have you gone into Step Edit to make sure those notes that are cut off were actually recorded as you planned? Have you tried fixing the note lengths in Step Edit?

this happens to me all the time. Easy fix... The note that you played and recorded is there you just have to turn off the keyboard function to get into step mode and press the step key where the missing note should be triggering, the correct note and duration will play. Actually, you may have to edit the duration slightly in step edit mode.
