I got a "dead" esx-1 from a friend of a friend. Turned out to be just the power supply. (Tested Dead.)
After ordering the wrong power supply twice from two different stores both of whom told me on the phone that the it was the right power supply. (A four pin -9v supply that transforms in route into a standard wall wort 9v supply?)
I found the RIGHT power supply at Antique Electronic Supply (Genuine Korg KA-153.) For 21.75 + 2 legs and an arm shipping.
Not to make any one vomit, But my first mission is to do my best to emulate the worst of danish dance pop...Toy Box, Aqua, Daze, Infernal.
...as soon as I figure out how to make the thing bend to my will...

Awsome! I checked out Toy Box and found their song Best Friend. Reminds me a lot of AQUA and Barbie Girl!! Ha ha! Not bad though. Good luck with the EMX it's a lot of fun. Never made any music before I got mine and didn't have a clue what it all did, but I've learned so much just playing with it. Keep with it even if you get frustrated sometimes. Oh and post links here to the music you make even if you think it might not be worth listening to as I (and I'm sure a lot of others too) think it's a lot of "fun" to hear what people are doing out there.
