Padkontrol Sensitivity discovery

Post by oddmachine »

After seeing strange varying behaviour with the pads in my padkontrol, I unscrewed the back of the device. Finding nothing I could possibly work with inside, I put it back together. Amazingly, the problem area of the pads had shifted to a different set of pads!

Are products not tested anymore? I hate being a paid beta tester.

Physical issues: Rotating PadKontrol vertically

Post by oddmachine »

So another observation: when I hit a pad, and it doesn't send the release signal, rotating the PadKontrol vertically sends the release signal. In fact, in general when the PadKontrol is vertical instead of horizontal, the pads appear to work correctly.

With so many units coming off a manufacturing line, its going to happen every now n then that a bad one gets out there... I have several Korg products and have come to never doubting their quality. They also have great Tech support.. even if you buy something second hand. Try contacting them for a replacement or service.
