alright

Post by salsoulkid »

hi there, I probably rank quite low on the korg scale as I only have a micro, but I'm slowly getting to know it and what it can do - obviously the first thing I did was to send messages to friends recorded through the vocoder, priorities well in order - but now it's starting to bring some warmth to my computer based set up and I'm loving it.

I have question too; I want the korg tempo to be defined by my mac (logic studio) - at the moment I have the mac running into a motu ultralite, then a midi cable running into the korg from the ultralite, but when I set the clock on the korg to external then try and play an arpeggiator nothing happens and basically I can't sync it up properly.

Any ideas? Help would be most appreciated.

cheers

Welcome ... sounds like you need to configure Logic to send MIDI clock to the MOTU, that doesn't happen by default, you need to explicitly configure it. Note that Logic only sends MIDI clock when it's playing, so that's when Korg's Auto clock setting is useful, as the mK will use external clock when available and internal clock other. Most Korg gear has that feature so I am assuming the mK does too.

Cheers Daz, any idea how to configure that clock in logic? I can't find anything in prefs? Sorry, I'm a bit clueless!

cheers
