Just after some info on MS-50

Hi, i'm just wondering about a few things regarding the MS-50. I have found one for sale and i'm very tempting. I just need to find a few VERY critical things out first. I dont have an MS-20 (or and korg synth for that matter) but i have read that the MS-50 is designed as an expander for the MS series.

I do, however, have a Moog Little Phatty. So basically I want to know what the situation is there. How will they respond together? Why is it designed as an expander for the MS series and not reguarded as a stand alone synth of it's own accord (...or is it??). Would it be stupid of me to get it if i don't have an MS series synth? Am I going to be able to use it to it's full potential and be able to utilise all parameters?

Any help would be really appreciated.
