Couldn't find anything specifically about this either here, Korg (World and USA), at Apple, or anywhere else:
My Zero8 Zero Edit software will not install on a MacBook Pro (Intel) under OS 10.4.11 (Tiger), and on the internal HD (which has plenty of room).
I get a message on the MBP saying "Installation failed". This happens within one second after clicking "Install", following the select drive/folder/etc portions at the start of the installer. Have tried the versions on both the Korg CD and the latest from their website. Same failure msg occurs with all versions.
I've tried to install with the Zero8 connected, disconnected, off, on, with no other FW devices connected, after a fresh repair of Disk Permissions, and after verifying that the local HD is OK.
I was able to update the Zero8 OS to 1.05. But for some reason the Zero Edit install fails. Any ideas why and how to get it to work?
I also have the same meter and hiss issues as mentioned elsewhere, plus cannot figure how to change the channel fader curves, which I'll address in another thread,
New Zero Edit won't install

Tnx for the reply, jayray.
Curious thing is I was able to update the Zero8 itself to OS 1.05, but the touch screen doesn't work on most of its functions, for example there doesn't seem to be any way select different channels in order to reset the ch. fader curves.
I'll try the reinsert CD bit to see if it allows the Zero Edit installer to work, but one has to wonder why the problem occurs in the first place: Is Korg's installer CD as buggy as the Zero8 itself?
And I'm also going to copy the installer to my HD and see if that helps, plus DL the installer from the Korg website and see what happens.
Will post results.
Tnx again!
