Is It Normal For The ESX To Take 50 Years To Delete Samples?

Post by shadowbunny »

I bought this used and am just trying to make sure it is not messed up. I am deleting some of the crappy sounding presets and I am not joking, it takes almost a minute and a half just to delete one.... I guess I am going to sit here all night. Oh boy I can't wait to see how long it takes to actually SAVE samples

try working backward through your samples and patterns as you delete them. working from the end seems to go faster because i think it takes all the remaining samples into account when deleting. saving samples has always seemed to be much quicker for me.

ha...yeah ive noticed that on the factory preset samples that come with the machine, the time it takes to delete a single sample is pretty damn long.
But ive also noticed that with samples you make yourself, even long ones like 10 to 12 seconds long...these kinds of samples seem to delete MUCH MUCH quicker.
Little short 2 to 3 second ones delete very fast as well.

how can you blame them for taking so long, they've been waiting to get their sorry asses out that machine since 2003, they're an embarassing lot
