Yes, Dimitris. It has been replaced by Pa1X Elite several months ago.

Hi Dimitris,

Please note that the Pa1X Pro Elite is identical to a fully expanded Pa1x Pro with a new sticker saying "Pa1x Pro Elite". The Pa1x Pro Elite is fitted with CD-ROM and single track MP3 board as standard. I do not know how much sample RAM it comes with since this is not stated on Korg's web site. The internal hardware is the same as the Pa1x Pro, and the software is the same as the Pa1x and the Pa1x Pro. Sounds, styles etc are fully interchangeable between all members of the Pa1x family, but not with the Pa2x or Pa800 unless you do a lot of editing conversion work.

My conclusion is that while Korg continue to sell the Pa1x Pro/Elite, there will be an ongoing source of spares available for the Pa1x Pro and we need have no concerns about support being discontinued just yet.

Best regards,
Rob

As Rob says, spare parts will remain available for years. We are still servicing instruments of 20 years ago, so I guess there is no reason to fear for such a recent model (still on our catalogue).

Thanks all for your reply. My question included PA1X Pro elite of course! I know the differences between them. So, if I understood well, Pa1X Pro elite is still in production. Right?

Dimitris

Dimitris, there is no differences between those 2, MP3 board and HD its just
a matter of hardware, there is no single difference between these 2 boards
which in another way means PA1XPRO is not discontinued. It just now comes
with MP3 and HD or whatever they added to the ELITE.
