PA5x+DAW via MIDI: Logic/Cubase/Live - anyone had success?

I’ve seen one YouTuber seem to demo using his PA5 with Pro Tools

But has anyone come across YouTubers demonstrating how to send and receive MIDI from the PA5 to any of the above DAWs? ( Logic, Cubase and Ableton Live )

Any good “HOW TO’s” online anywhere - either here or elsewhere ?

This would be in order to - for music production purposes - record the style and pad MIDI data during real time playback - say from PLAYER 1 - and then optionally play back some tracks back to the PA sound engine while maybe routing certain tracks to a plugin and so on.

It isn’t simple

I’m currently trying it with Logic but Logic itself seems a bit cludgy anyway when it comes to MIDI routing etc.. so no joy... yet.. sigh.

I have used Pa5x with cubase a lot before I sold my Pa5x. Its not that hard if you configure both the Daw and the keyboard properly. If you need to record the keyboard midi parts to DAW, first configure the Pa5x midi settings. Configure midi out channels. As an example Drum channel10, Bass channel 9 etc (The way you like it). Then in cubase assign midi inputs accordingly. Then the DAW will record whatever outputting from the keyboard midi out channels. There is a way to sync midi clock as well

Midi is midi. I've programmed the 5x with Protools, Logic, Ableton, and cubase using the 5x as both the controller and the monitor (5x channel 1 out for upper 1 and channels 9-16 as the inputs routed to the style)

I tried many tricks to synchronize the Pa5x with logic, but as 1:1 it’s impossible

The best way is to save and convert the style or song to midi file and then assign each track in DAW to the wanted external instrument ( Pa5x will act as sound module only)

Transmitting and Receiving on midi channel will work fine.
But there will be freezing problems when midi clock is synced to record the style in sync with the DAW tempo.

I also can't seem to get 1:1 for 5x Midi to work with Logic.
Would be great if someone can share a step-by-step.

Until quick recording is implemented into the Pa5x OS, it really would help if someone showed a video with step by step in both PA5x and the DAW settings.
