Keyboard expression Issues

Hope all is well Everybody!

Ive been having some issues with my Korg lately and wanted to know if there is a solution to this problem.

When I play my melodies while the beat is on, my sound is good and expresses itself very clearly but when I stop the beat my sound volume goes down. I tried this for every Beat and i still get the same results. I can hear the sound while the beat is not playing but once i play the beat my sound volume goes up high.

if anybody has went thru this and solved it please let me know how i can resolve this issue.
