Korg SQ-1 Hum

Hello,
I just recently got an SQ-1 to use with the vintage MS-20 that I just acquired. However, when it's connected, I'm getting a hum.
It's connected to a powered USB hub which is connected to my laptop.
Is there any way to avoid this? I'd like to sync to my DAW. I've also read that the SQ-1 can act as a MIDI to CV convertor, which I would like to try as well.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
