Replacing PA4X display

Post by Cathy »

I posted earlier about my display coming apart with no responses, I guess nobodies had this problem before.
Let me ask this please...has anyone on here had to replace their display? My 4X was bought secondhand so it has no warranty. If your display has gone out we’re you able to replace it yourself and where did you find the replacement? Was it very expensive?
Sorry about all the questions. Just worried.

A Korg dealer told me it would be about £300 to replace...His words not mine.

That sounds about right - is close to the cost here.

you do not need to replace it. simply put a thin layer of super glue or rubber cement around the border of the screen housing and press firmly to reseal it. if you want to use a glue that is easier to dissolve you can use 2 or 3mm double sided adhesive tape for lcd screen repair which is about $5-7 and can be removed with a heat gun

Thanks for the replies, we’ll try to glue it together. Scary!
