Kronos: 61 or 88 keys?

Kronos workstation questions:
1. How did you decide on 61 or 88 keys for your Kronos? I am more of a classical keyboardist, but with a workstation I would do more non-classical composition. On the other hand, I feel like I would spend more time in front of 88 keys. For synth/organ action I can just MIDI a controller.
2. Is the 88 key-bed good enough for those who are more piano inclined? I think Kawai (ES10, MP7SE, MP11SE) and Yamaha may have better piano action/feel.
3. If you have one of those fancy studio desks, does an 88 key instrument bounce?
4. 88 keys gives plenty of room to split and still have enough keys on each side of split.

88 RH3 is good enough for the piano person

For a serious piano player I think the 88 is the way to go. However, if you’re going to be playing out and moving around, the 88 is not only physically larger, it is much heavier than the 61.

I bought a K2 73 last October, and just recently got a K2 88 also. I MIDI my TEX 61 to the 73, and an old TLE 61 to my 88 for playing organ and synth lead parts.

The RH3 action is good - I am classically trained, and the actions on the 73 and 88 work well for me.

Neither is very portable, hence having two of them. I do love the extra room on the 88.

From what you mention, definitely go for the 88 key version. I practice advanced classical almost daily on mine for several hours and I really like the touch/sound connection. The Korg RH3 88-key action feels good and is very solid.

About bouncing, make sure your desk supports at least 55 lbs. Also, don't forget you can add piano libraries. The optional Fazioli/Italian grand from Korg is excellent and my second favorite after the Bechstein/Berlin available in all Kronos-2 models.
