Kronos2 WAV / CD first second of playback being cut off.

Post by i_scotty »

When I 'bounce a song to disk' in sequencer mode, and then record to the attached cd burner, everything is finalized and play back the cd (even after transferring the songs to my computer), the first second of every song gets cut off.

I've record one song to disk and multiple songs both at 8x and at 24x. I even added a blank measure at the beginning of the song, and still get that cut off. I've noticed even when just playing songs in the sequencer (not recording) that if I don't hit the 'locate' button that the playback does the same cutting off that first part.

I was thinking maybe it mattered the start option I used (ex. 'start by sequencer' or 'start by decibel'). But it's not that either. Anyone else have this problem and know the fix? Thanks.

I understand your post, I think. I don't use that process for CD recording.

So what I do might not be the answer.

I live in SEQ mode. On my songs, I noticed there is a very slight cutoff on the very first note or tick or whatever.

As a result, the the very first note or drum part is soft. I am not exactly sure where and why it occurs.

FYI, I don't bounce to DISK. I set up file directories. I think this helps file organization.

Secondly, I bring the WAV file over to my Mac, and us iTunes for copying to CD.

Not saying this is best, its my process and it works for me.

I don't use this kind of tools.
But if I was you, I will just add one blank mesure at the start of each song.

In my case I use a DAW sequencer to transfer my Kronos tracks and, even if it is absolutely not necessary I always do that within Sequoia
