Problem with sustaining in Combi mode

Post by Jcscheper »

I have had some problems with my sustaining for quite some time now. I use the Korg DS1H for my Korg M50 workstation for sustaining my keys.

The problem that I encounter is that when I play multiple keys, the bass keys will stop sustaining. It seems that the cause could be polyphony, but shouldn't the M50 be able to handle this?
As I am not very well educated of the use of these pedals, perhaps someone here could explain me what exactly happens here, and if there is a possible solution te keep sustaining the bass keys with the pedal.

I have uploaded an audio example of the situation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qojo6e32lw983l3/DS1H.mp3?dl=0

In this example, I just picked a piano (solo) in a combi.

Check the Combi P5 MIDI Filter page to see if the Enable Damper box is checked for the affected timbre.

Are there other sounds assigned within the Combi? They could be using up polyphony even if you have them silenced.
