I agree the styles are excellent. Also, that it would be helpful to know if they were created for specific songs. The only obvious one to me in V35 is Sugar Pop for Sugar by Maroon 5.
We had a good thing going for a while where people were posting the songs for the new styles but I believe the last I saw was for v31. Would be nice to get this going again.

As a PA4x owner in my early seventies, you will not be surprised to learn that I don't recognise any of the new styles. Whilst I doubt whether I will find any use for this latest batch, I am never the less very grateful to Korg for providing them. It's fantastic that we are receiving these OS updates and new styles for free, and for what is a truly magnificent arranger.
I am a longstanding Korg owner but only relatively recently purchased my PA4x. Yesterday, I made my first attempt to convert a Midifile to a style using the bot. It was not very successful but I was surprised to find that the resultant style included a Chord Sequence. It occurred to me that, maybe, the recent song-specific styles (which all include chord sequences) were created in this way. If so, I wonder whether it would be "ethical" for us to perform similar conversions and share them with forum members.

Hi Don,
Can I suggest you sign up (for free) for Korg Crowdcast.
There are a series of videos that are made by Luke Edwards and Adam from Korg. The O/S 3.0 second video is the one to watch as it explains how the chord sequences on the new styles indicate what the songs are that go with the particular style. Very informative, and helpful for PA4X owners. Luke and Adam cover many other issues relating to the PA4X.

p.s. See how you get on, any problems and we are all here to help.

Spot on, Chris. I'm not even a Pa4x owner, but Luke and Adam do a fine job.chelsea4023 wrote:Hi Don,

Regarding Don's point, in the latest webinar (around the 40:00 mark) they get into a trick using the chord sequencer to reveal the 'hidden song' the style is based on.
When I nod my head . . . Hit it!

Hi Chris,
Yes, I've been signed up to the KorgWorld webinars since they started and I have watched them all "live". I've also revisited them a few times. I agree, Luke and Adam are doing an excellent job.
The points I was trying to make were as follows:-
1. When I created a style from a Midifile, although my results were not that good I was surprised to discover the resultant style contained a chord sequence. I didn't expect that, and it led me to suspect that, maybe, the song-specific styles in versions 34 and 35 had been created using the "bot".
2. If they were created using that method, I wondered whether we, as forum members, could use our Midifiles to perform similar conversions and share them with other members.
3.I also wondered about the ethics of doing so on this forum because there may be issues about respecting the integrity of other people's work.
Thanks for your reply and your advice.
