Post by al urezzio »

first off thank you for all the very informative replies about my LOUD KEY .they were very help for future references .also as recommended ,as soon as i have open days, I found a korg certified tech to look at my keyboard .. for now i am living with it ,,but I just wanted to post something I notice what was happening with this LOUD KEY .. at my last 2 gigs about a halve hour into them is when the key became more obvious ,both days around the same length of time & funny thing on the same slow song ...so today in my studio I decided to time it , I turned on my keyboard ,23 minutes into my practice the KEY got LOUD .. now here's the kicker , i turn the keyboard off ,after 15 minutes turned it back on & the key was normal .... now i am really confused about what the problems is only because of the way it was explained what was wrong .. anyone have any thoughts ???? and I always end my post with THANK YOU's for this website & all the GREAT keyboard enthusiast who are & have been extremely helpful ...

I have had keys misbehave just as you describe.
It’s always been a small tear in the rubber contact so that it works OK sometimes then moves.
It’s is of course your decision whether to repair it yourself or get a technician to do it. My experience was with an authorised Korg repairer and he admitted he had not dealt with this problem before. When I went to pick it up we worked it out together!! Since then I have done it myself 2 or 3 additional times (on a Pa1x and Pa3x).
