Long story short.....
I just updated the OS and installed all the free Korg sound packages available for a client. I also maxed out the RAM.
He picked it up the other day and called to complain that it sounds terrible in the upper octaves.
The thing is, he's playing these samples that will sound bad in the upper two octaves because, well, a trombone etc. sounds like s**t extrapolated out that far.
Problem is, he swears it used to sound fine. I think he just has so many new sounds that he never had before and just doesn't really know how to use this keyboard. All of the patches he complains about sound great in the middle octave. And piano patches sound fine all the way up the keyboard.
Before I tell him to get lost and don't ever come back... tell me I'm right.
Thanks

Yep. I had a listen and replicated the same sound with a trumpet program.bill.l@emiaudio.com wrote:The thing is, he's playing these samples that will sound bad in the upper two octaves because, well, a trombone etc. sounds like s**t extrapolated out that far.
He can always go back to the original status. In Disk mode, he can OPEN the Factory folder and LOAD the "PRELOAD.pcg."Problem is, he swears it used to sound fine.
If he wants to load up other sounds, there are several available at Korguser.net, at THIS link:
