I was wondering if there is any way to have a Smooth Transition Sound when changing a sound to another one during live performances on Pa4X.
For example from changing fro Keyboard set 1 (former called STS) to Keyboard set 2.
So far I was not successful and every time I change a sound during live performance, either the first sound is cut off or the second sound is recalled with noticeable delay.

Unfortunately no - certainly never been able to achieve that.
Short of buying a Korg Kronos I really can't offer any advice. SST would be a great feature for PA5X!!!!
Cheers

Kronos soft sound transition is based on CPU and system speed where pa4X lacks , so this can change only when a similar fast hardware
will be applied in next Pa model, else it won't !
But in both keyboards , all are depending of the kind of effect that is used since when an STS/KBset sound is changed , effect
will change instantly and although previous sound will remain active while key remains pressed , effect change will create sonic artifacts.
The only safe method from preventing this to happen is to use simple effects like reverb and also using sounds with soft attack and low release time.
Also note that if a previous sound is muted then it's probably a matter of polyphony so check your style simultaneous midi events data
that might exceed Pa4X polyphony ! (stop style and check sound transitions)
Hope this helps

I'll give it a try for transition of the keyb set while stopping the style.

WOAH!!!! YES!!! Had not even tried keyboard-set smooth transition - I was only aware that it didn't work with SOUNDs400nvd wrote:With certain sounds / kbsets it works well.
Tried several - all worked - some little DSP changes can slip in.
