I'm trying to load a single stereo multisample from Kapro's Revolutionary Cello EXs, and add it on (loading with append) to my own existing orchestral set.
But it seems whether I select an individual multisample or the entire Kapro KSC it can only load into virtual memory, so my own sample bank loaded into RAM remains un-appended. Obviously I've selected the "Load into RAM" option when trying to add the Kapro MS.
Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to isolate commercial samples like this?

Isolating samples from commercial soundsets
Kronos-2 73, Triton Extreme 76, Krome 73, Novation Supernova 2, various others...
You can only include a link to the commercial multisample to your own KSC, but not the actual samples themselves. They are protected. The multisample will then only sound correctly if you have the authorisation code of the commercial sampleset.
This is true for all commercial sets that require authorisation. If that would not be the case, you could (too) easily bypass the copy-protection..

Beautifully explained, thank you. I thought that was probably the case.
Having to load several EXs just to use one sound off each seemed like a bit of a pain, but I now realise that I can just load the individual multisamples that I want and save them as part of an existing ksc, with the commercial samples then loading into virtual memory. So thanks very much for pointing that out.
It does seem slightly counter-intuitive that a "userbank KSC" loads into virtual memory, a KSC (of my own) loads into RAM, yet commercial EXs don't have userbank KSC's, just KSC's - which load into virtual memory.
