Seems to have dissapeared...

Luckilly i have some parts left in my flash, maybe if we all glue our flash together the website can be revived...

There was a server transfer some time ago, ever since then the website has been less stable...

In the end i am pretty sure that the owner is doing everything he can to get the forums back on line..

I hope it's only a technical issus

I'm not registered there (or maybe long time ago), but I do like to go there from time to time, I enjoy there discussions.

I just heard from Nigel Spencer the oner of the Synthzone forum. There has been a serious hacking of his server and EVERYTHING is gone! He is now trying to rebuild the forum from whatever backups he might have. Right now the forum is gone according to Nigel.

Here is another interesting point. I also spoke with Joe Waters the owner of the PSRTUTORIAL site. He said he gets from 10 to 20 notices DAILY that his servers have had hacking attacks. Each notice usually contains up to 100 attempts by the hacker! Wow! who would have thought music forums would be a target for anyone.

Thanks Dean for the update.... I hope Nigel can fix this... i really hope...

About those hack attacks, i monitor my home PC, and i get dozens of hack attacks a day... its just where you get probed by a random hacking program that tries out to find some vulnerabillities on your compuetr, if he can find them, he reports them to the hacker.. if he cant, the program moves on...

Thats the reason you have to keep your securrity updated on your computers...

If what destroyed the arranger keyboard forums was really a hacker, then it must have been on purpose,... with nothing else on mind then to destroy a valuable website... and that is very very very sad...

I hope Nigel can fix this, because otherwise there is so much valuable information lost... Altough most important is to get the forums back with or witouth content, so we can keep discussing things of the now, the future and the past... Synthzone was definately a very very nice place.

I've been in contact with Nigel and he again asked me to contact SZ members with the latest info:

"I have contacted the creators pf the UBB forum software and they are going to look and see what they can to to revive the backup of the forum database backup that I have. I guess I will find out over the next week"

If you have contact with other forum members let them know I am doing everything I can to get things back again." (Scott)
