Pa4X OS v1.1.1 released

Post by Paolo@Korg »

Dear Pa4X Owners,

A new version of the instrument's operating system has been released. It includes a few bug fixes, and is warmly recommended to all users.

New OS update

Post by whcanetoad »

Will uploading the new 1.1.1 software update affect what has previously been saved to the Songbook? Speaking of which, does anyone know approximately how many songs can be saved to the Pa4x Songbook?

Hi,

If carefully following the supplied instructions, no data will be deleted by this update, apart for the preference data contained in the Global.

After having installed the new OS, you have to execute a Factory Restore. Be sure to only leave the Global option selected when the Restore dialog appears.

A backup is, however, always recommended, in case something goes in the wrong way.

As for the maximum number of SongBook Entries, it is a very high number, so you shouldn't be worried to fill the Book.

Steve,

Last week we released v1.1.0. This is v1.1.1, fixing a few issues that were discovered after the former OS was ready for release.

Hey I updated OS a few days ago but I didn't know you have to do a factory restore, should I do this now? what difference will it make?

The Factory Restore function (described in the installation instructions supplied with the OS) is needed to load the Musical Resources. With this OS version there is some data that has to be loaded to improve some default settings.
