EC5 Polyphony

Post by Evan »

Hello,

Please forgive my ignorant question, as I am a new Pa3x user.

Is there a way to use the Ec5 pedal board to control the on/off polyphony?

Specifically, when a performance is selected, and I'd like to switch the upper 1 sound to monophonic, how do I assign this to the ec5 pedal board?

I am sure I can manually edit poly settings, or even assign the same sound twice on upper1 and upper2. I'm hoping for a quick switch change since it comes up frequently during my bands' gigs.

Will the ec5 switch affect the upper 1 sound or all of them (upper2, 3) ?

Thanks!!!

Hi Evan
The EC5 functions are limited to the list as per the manual.
This is an interesting question.
Firstly, I am assuming you want to do this in STYLE PLAY mode...
I would imagine that there is possibly MIDI that can do this which would mean using a MIDI pedal.
However, we don't have a MIDI implementation manual.

A way around this would be to have 2 versions of the sound you want - one with polyphony and one without.
you could set these up as STS's and switch that way.

As I am sure you are aware it is very simple to switch polyphony on/off in the SOUND mode main page for the instrument.

Hope this helps.
