I LOVE my Audio Technica ATH M50s. Amazing sound, super comfortable, loud...just the best I've had. I own two pairs.

Th AkG K 702 have 62 Ohm and are more than loud enough with the Kronos, just like the K 701.

Just a question. Are you going to only monitor through headphones? Most people use speakers as well. I'm not sure if you are using these as your main monitor source or not. I use my Audio Technica ATH-M40fs after my mixer and not directly from my Kronos so I can't tell you if they'd be loud enough. I also burn a lot of CD's so I can listen to my mixes on various sound systems in order to hear if there are any problems.
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
Gear: Kronos 73, Wavestation EX, Polysix, King Korg, Monotron and Monotron Duo, Minikorg, Moog Grandmother, my very old MiniKorg, 4 acoustic and 9 electric guitars, 1 Ibanez 5 string bass, a Steel guitar, a bunch of microphones, 2 pairs of studio monitors and other very cool toys, 1 wife and 4 cats and a lava lamp!

That´s interesting. Did not know they come with 600 Ohm. Maybe I got that. But I don´t have the specification any longer.

Although closed back, my inexpensive Sony MDR-7506, headphones are really good for an inexpensive set. For less than a 100 US you really can't go wrong.

Congrats.

I'm not surprised. Out of all the people I know who bought a pair based on my recommendation, I'm yet to hear about someone regretting their purchase. For the money, they're very hard to beat.
