I can bet ANYONE in here on a BRAND NEW PA800 that i can cut their sets
on HALF size and have them work the same way before they did before i
actually did that, without a sound or style missing.
Half of the stuff in the sets is junk, not junk as garbage, not good but junk
as not being used anywhere at all but just laying in RAM for no reason.
I have a 67MB set but its a REAL 67 MB set, where everything is used, not to
the last KMP but to the last KSF. And it takes time...

Can you please suggest with several examples that support your idea?
I'm having difficulties to merge 2 different sets together (60% from the 1st, 70% from the 2nd).
I would appreciate your elaboration.

Well Royi. Start making a list with all styles and samples and sounds. Please note which sound and/or performance are being used. After that we can tell you !

Also please state what songs you play and what styles you need for it. How many different styles do you use with what songs ?

Also describe all the drum kits that are used in those songs.

It is nice to have 1000 things, but the question is whether you use it all.

But do not forget: Nedim was just making a general remark. We all can find people that actually use everything.

But for most common people one would be sufficient ...

If I would play at a Macedonian wedding in front of 450 people, starting 13.00 and ending at 02.00 I have played maybe 150 songs.

But I have used only 7/8 rhytm, some rumba's, some sasa, some 9/8. That's it.

10 styles are enough. Change some minor different sounds in the tracks, but the styles are the same. Change maybe 1 drum kit and you have 20 styles.

That is 2 DK.

Playing most of the times with 8 performance.

1 accordeon
1 saz or guitar
1 flute
1 gajda realistic
1 gajda synth
5 synt DX sounds.

That's it.

All the other 999 styles and 300 performances remain unused.

And I bet this will be for most performers ...

I am collecting all the information I need in order to decide what is useful and what can be waived.

Hope it will leave some free space for additional "goodies" in this set.

After you have done that, merging 2 sets in 1 is not as difficult as you think.
