Kronos To Nautilus

My goal is to use a Nautilus as a backup should my K2 die during a show. That actually happened to me a couple years ago, but that’s another story. I’m not concerned about overwriting what is in the Nautilus. I’m very aware that the Nautilus doesn’t have all of features of a Kronos. I want to copy PCG KSC SNG files. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos and searched ChatGPT and I’m confused about what I’m seeing. The instructions on ChatGPT looked way too easy. If anyone has done this, I would love to know the best way to get this done. Thanks

The ROM sounds are different between both machines, so certain programs/combis will not sound the same. You will have to fine adjust certain of them to your taste. IIRC there was some Nautilus function added in the OS so to do this conversion for you, you will have to verify this.

Also, for your own custom samples they will work after copying them on the Nautilus SSD, but this does NOT apply to extra libraries you bought that need an authorization code. In that case, you will have to use another license of them for the Nautilus. There is also the Kronos sound pack for Nautilus (EXs315–EXs320) but it is not free.

I’ve done a lot of research and found very good information on “how to load files” from a Google search. You are 100% correct! Things are coming together, but I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me. It seems that the Nautilus is missing EXi 17 and 18, maybe more, so I’ll need to rebuild programs and substitute available sounds to make things work, or purchase the missing EXi.
