I recently purchased the Artist Edition 3.0 for my KORG PA5X keyboard from Global Sound in Sweden. The sound set cost me 269 euros, and after testing it for a few days, I must say I'm disappointed.
While the set does include a substantial number of new sounds and styles, many of them don’t add much value beyond what the keyboard already offers by default.
Some of the new sounds are nice, like the bell-like tones and some of the guitars or pianos, but many others feel redundant.
The styles, though different from the factory ones, seem unfinished, with imbalances in volume and mixing that require a lot of tweaking. Overall, I feel like I’ve thrown my money out the window.
This is, of course, a matter of personal taste, but I can’t say I’m satisfied and I feel compelled to share my experience with others. For 269 euros, I expected more.

Hi,
Maybe this will help.

The Guys from Keyboard World think very highly of this software.
Maybe some more investigation is needed to get the best from it.
I also have GlobalSounds Artists Edition 3.0 and have been buying Timur's software from PA4X days. The upgrade price is obviously less, so does not hit the pocket so hard. I like to support the musicians that create software for Korg PA arrangers and have numerous files from different sources. Paul Carmen from Keyboard World produces very good software, along with John Beesley (PaX Magic). Antony Sharmman on these Forums also creates PA5X specific software.
My current favourite is Paul Carmens 'Toolkit' software. I have modified most of his keyboard sets and adapted them to my tastes, (with his full support I might add) !! Probably the reason why he called it 'Toolkit' software.

Best of luck with getting the most out of the software.

Pa5X Sound Libraries
There is no matter of software of general resources by any third party Pa5X resources seller.
Your target must be always sound libraries that you need , no one can determine your general needs.
Only you know of what you need , so select specific sound libraries that you need to work with.
This is the rule that Korg Store exists for Korg Kronos as well as WavesArt , pick up and select of what
libraries you need and do not exist in decent development in Kronos / Pa5X

Re: Globalsound AE v3
I have to agree that that the WavesArt package leaves much to be desired.
1. [Average]. Many of the Styles are reworks of existing factory styles
2. [Poor]. The mixing and balance is often rather random (eg overloud lead guitar, and underpowered strings. Extensive re-tweeking of balances, keyboard sets and EQ's generally needed.
3. [Poor]. The keyboard sets are generally just one sound, rather than a set of three
4. [Goodish]. There are extensive 'new' single custom sounds, albeit in a random order and names ie difficult to distinguish ***
5. [Poor]. PA5X factory styles are always accompanies with a chord sequence (Even if sometimes a little thin) These 'new' WavesArt styles are generally without chords.
6. [Annoying] Some of the styles and settings are extremely loud (ie compared with the norms)
Would I buy again? Well I'm lazy, and had birthday money to spend. Otherwise probably not (sorry!)
Tavro
(PA1X, PA4X, PA5X etc.)
*** I rename all my non-factory sounds, keyboard sets and pads, to make them easier to find. And then they are alphabetically all together.
EG: Electric Guitars for example < EG: WahWah Distorted Guitar #3 >
AG: Acoustic Guitar
AP: Acoustic Piano
EP: Electric Piano etc

Re: Globalsound AE v3
You mean WavesArt or Globalsound?
I have GS v3 and I‘m disappointed. For 269 I expected more… better sounds, better styles….
I hope, Timur from Gobalsound will release an update soon.
In this state, don‘t buy from Globalsound!
