Guys, I want to update my button issue.

I finally brought my 5X to an authorized Korg repair shop to check out for the estimate repair time. Good thing is that Korg accepted my 5X for the repair under warranty. First, the repair technician told me that Korg won't accept the repair for normal wear and tear, but I told him it's not, but a common issue on most of the early 5X. I suggests him to google it for the information. He then contacted Korg about the button black spot issue, and Korg told him that they discontinued the first generation buttons and is producing the new buttons. Korg will ship out the new buttons to the technician for my repair (my 5X has about 30 buttons with black spot on them).

Fortunately, the repair shop allowed me to take my 5X home while waiting for the part arrives. The technician said he can replace all the buttons in an hour or so.

Here in Brazil, I don't believe Korg will offer free repairs for defective buttons, and I doubt they'll have this defect-free version of the buttons any time soon. I have a few buttons with this issue, but I don't think about it. I'll only bother trying to replace them when I'm sure the new version of the buttons is available here. I'm not very hopeful. Still, I love my PA5X.
