Need new internal amplifier

Hello everyone. My trusty old Korg PA 1X internal speaker system has failed. I’ve been told by the engineer who is trying to fix it that it needs a replacement amplifier. The model number and serial number is.kip2075. Does anyone have an old Korg pa1x that they are willing to sell to me or one scrapped that has the internal part that I’m looking for? I’d be most gratefully contact me.

Pa1X keyboards do come up on the likes of eBay from time to time. There's one presently listed on the UK ebay site ( www.ebay.co.uk ).

It might be worth contacting your national Korg representative. Korg do carry a range of spares for existing and legacy products.

The KIP2075 is a combined power supply and power amplifier board. If it is the main amplifier device that has failed, there is a reasonable chance that a replacement integrated circuit could be obtained. The part number to look for is the TP2050-HP by Tripath. An electronics tech might be able to troubleshoot down to component level.

One of the most common causes of a defective KIP2075 is aged electrolytic capacitors C8 (10,000 uF), C14 (2,200 uF), C33 (1,000 uF), and C32/31 (100 uF). These are worth checking if you can't purchase a complete board.

C8 and C14 are important for the power supply of the TP2050-HP IC amplifier.
