PA300-Cannot save project to USB

Post by joned »

Hello.
I have created a tune and followed the instructions to save to USB.
The USB appears in the USB/DISK selector but no save button appears when USB selected. So I can't save my recordings.
The USB plugged into the Keyboard is new and empty.
I have saved it to DISK so at least I know its ok there.

I want to save it to the USB so I can load the midi files into my DAW.
All help appreciated please?

Just a shot in the blind:
You have saved in the userarea of the internal disk, so what happens if you try copy and paste or export that file to the USB? 🤔
Cheers 🥂

If the USB memory stick is empty, try re-formatting it in the Pa300.

If the above fails, it might be worth going to the Media page / USB tab, and setting the Korg Disk Connection to Enable. It is disabled by default. This setting is intended to apply to memory transfers made using a connected computer, over USB, but there's no harm in trying.

Thank you so much for your response. Very much appreciated.
About 10 minutes ago I formatted the USB and it now works fine.

Excellent.

The difference between the original format of the drive and the format that works, may only be subtle, but it's enough. The Pa300 isn't the only board that seems to be a bit fussy with USB drive formatting. And it's not just Korg, either. Similar issues also arise with other manufacturer's keyboards.
