You might be asking too much out of PA 5 it still didn't catch up to the PA 4x
The pa5x is not ready for performance for the stage, it's just for your garage or your living room , it will be a few more years before you could take it on stage or on the road so just pack it up and put it on the shelf and wait a few years.

And I wanted to buy a PA 5X and now they let me down. I have to wait until the PA 5 catch us up to the PA 4 so I could use it.

Yes I know it has more polyphony stereo sampling more memory and more effects that sounds great****...

But kord left on most of everything we need, yes I know they will put all that good stuff back in but that takes too long so you better stick with the PA 4 for the PA 1000 for the PA 700 or 900 things at work, not things that might work or we will get them in a few more years.
It's like buying a piano or keyboard that only has one white key and one black key but we will upgrade you in the future for a couple more white keys and Black Keys.

I know it feels bad you bought a lemon I've bought a few in my life I tried to make lemonade but the keyboard has no sugar that will be an upgrade in the future. So enjoy what you got you have the newest most powerful keyboard and it looks great and it sounds great it doesn't perform great until then enjoy.

When leaving the RECORD room, the display freezes. Either it freezes or the display reads constantly. I waited 15 minutes for him to leave the RECORD room, but every time I had to restart the keyboard.

It was happening to me when I edited styles and saved, it freezed for ever and I needed to restart or the Kb restarted itself.

Sometime it restarted when I moved styles between folders in the Korg Disk.

It started after the last update.

I noticed I had too many files in the Korg Disk and I decided to formated and keep most styled in the SD card.

After Korg Disk was formated I have never had this issue again.

Maybe lucky or maybe it was something with the internal disk after the last update.

There is a new option in OS 1.3 to import a WAV sample folder. When I imported stereo drum samples folder, it shows as mono samples when assigning to a drum kit. After I import the samples one by one they show as stereo samples as usual.

i told so many go with 1.2.0 you wont have this kinds of problems , like freezing or shuting down
i have 30 to 60 gigs all year and didnt have that problem with that update
1.3.1 its garbage dont update it until it comes better version

Selecting sounds in search function is not working. In search I can search and find the sounds I am looking for, and select it. But nothing happens after that. When I exit Search it is not selected anymore. For example Keyboard Sets are working correctly. I select a searched keyboard set and exit out of Search and the keyboard set is available in the Main screen. For Keys this is not working.

Greetings. I recently became the owner of a pa5x. I tested some things and functions a bit. In general, it's OK, there are some good things, new compared to pa4x, and most of them are the same, only a better interface.
A critical problem in the work that I discovered is regarding the styles with different measures in variations or fills (e.g. 4/4 and 2/4 which is often the case for me because on most styles I use a half measure fill in on the fourth fill). Also an even worse problem is with some dedicated rhythms where the variations are in a different tempo set in the Event edit with tempo insert.
In the style, if you make a variation or fill in with a different measure compared to the other variations, the style starts to skip and sometimes falls out of rhythm. For example, if the style is in 4/4 and I make fill 4 in 2/4 for one measure, when I press fill 4 sometimes it falls out of measure and after that the other variations start to behave strangely. They don't start counting from the first bar, but sometimes from the second or third. By the way, I noticed that if the rhythm has, say, 8 bars in the variation, when you start it, it counts on screen over eight bars and beyond. It's especially confusing if the beat is in 4/4 and 7/8.
It seems that he taps the original value of the rhythm for himself if it is, say, in 4/4, and when you switch to the 7/8 variation, he taps those bars incorrectly on the screen and it all gets messed up.
As for the tempo, if you put a different tempo in the event edit on the fill or variation, it works correctly only if you clicked the fill button right at the start, if you are a little late it doesn't catch that information and does the fill in the previous tempo. I tried also to insert tempo value on every first bar, but it still not work correctly. Likewise, on pa4x there was an option in the event edit to select the master track and insert the tempo there. There is no such thing here, maybe it's up to that... but whom to tell and how?
I tested it with a simple new style (to rule out that it might be due to conversion from pa4), and no help. It all worked fine on Pa4x (which I'm still using until this is fixed).
I'm wondering if this was a problem in previous operating systems or did they mess something up in 1.3.1?
I'm still wondering if there is an official email, channel or something where errors in the operating system can be reported so that it can reach the Korg developers who should deal with it? I tried Korg.usa and they tell me to report it to the local distributor listed on their site and they will forward it to Japan, however they (Adriatic Region Distribution) do not respond to email at all.

Flaws in existing Pa5X features after OS v.1.3.1

- Important Chord Recognition flaw , 11th (major) chord is not recognized at all in major scale as in all arrangers ,
C11/CM11 & C (add 11) are totally out of picture and this is unacceptable for advanced Musicians !
Minor scale Cm11 and relative are working fine though.

- In REC/EDIT Pad Edit , direct access to Pad Banks is still missing , "Select Pad to Edit" screen tab should be active pointing
to PAD Banks in order to select of what PAD to edit regardless of Style's Pads !

- In REC/EDIT/Style Edit/ menu Style Edit/Style Copy
If you want to copy Var1-CV1 events to any empty Var CV2-6 this is not possible since in CV selection options only "All" CV option
is active and you have to copy one by one all 8 tracks wasting time for nothing.

- If you create a Sound with MS of big duration real stereo samples (not L-R paired MS) like a piano , in Sound mode piano
has a polyphony of 160 notes , this Sound in KBD SET without playing a Style , has polyphony of less than 40 notes ...
This can be tricky recovered if you add in existing Sound at least 2 extra OSC with empty MS , it's a weird and undefined bug !

- In REC/EDIT/Sample Edit/multisample , when entering in Edit Sample , there is no "back" button to return in multisample.


For all the rest mentioned by users as bugs , I can replicate none using factory resources or custom resources that were
exclusively created in Pa5X.
Users that want to confirm flaws , make a factory restore in OS v.1.3.1 load nothing and use factory resources to replicate them.

Hello. Wherever I have keyboard sets with upper 1, 2 or 3 as "external", when I change style it somehow change to "both" on Track control-mode Page.
Please fix this asap.

One small bug. When select keyboard set and you are in keyboard set selection screen, selected keyboard set is highlighted, when press "my setting" button, it change sound but previous keyboard set stays highlighted. Only if you press "my setting" second time it's not highlighted any more. It work correct when you press STS-s.

I found a bug in the factory style of Korg pa5x.!!!
Namely in the original style,
in the category Dance "What Is Dance" / var.4,
after the 4th measure there is silence for 4 measures,
when pressing the chord m7(b5). OS 1.3.0. New pa5x.
