Style suggestion?
I can’t find a good style for the song More Than This by Roxy Music. The song has a certain vibe to it. I’ve tried a lot of the dance and pop styles, but found no good match so far. Any idea is appreciated… thanks in advance!
You can create a song specific style from a midi file. Maybe this is a solution for you that works.

Hi DaPale,
Thank you for the tip! I'm going to look at it. I must honestly say that I am generally not a fan of song-specific styles. Certainly not in the factory styles. Because:
a. I can hardly use them for anything other than that one specific song (or I have to spend a lot of time completely "renovating" them).
b. song-specific styles are never 100% the same. As a result (I think) the emphasis is mainly on the differences with the original song and then I personally think the performance does not get better but actually worse.
c. I become more creative with styles that differ from the original song, but evoke the same vibe or atmosphere. Or a completely different vibe or atmosphere, I sometimes really like that too.

Another tip, ask this guy.

Your videos inspired me to rethink how much music can be done with just the PA5X factory sounds and settings. I guess, I do not need more styles and sounds; all I needed was inspiration from folks like you. Thank you.F-Minor wrote:Thanks again for the tip, but that’s NOT how I like to play my performances (no judgement!). I play mostly with the arranger and create my own arrangements with intro, var changes, different KS etcetera. See the link in my signature if you want to get an idea of how I play.
Thank you so much for your kind words, JagiChan. This is exactly the reason why I post my videos: just to give some ideas and inspiration to the Korg / keyboard community. It’s so much fun playing some of your favorite songs with all these beautiful sounds and styles!JagiChan wrote:Your videos inspired me to rethink how much music can be done with just the PA5X factory sounds and settings.
