Giving the PA5 until the next update....

You can't handle the truth
A friend of mine has the PA 5x and I've been trying to help him out, he sold his PA 4 to get this PA 5 but I kept my Pa4.. My friend always wanted the newest and the greatest and now he has the greatest but all headaches so I told him.
it's like when you're a child waiting for Christmas you don't care what you get or if you like it, you just wanna get it and then say that's not what I wanted or were is the rest of the toy ( it needs batteries that weren't included) like no KAOSS on-screen ,batteries not included) , what no Quick Record, batteries not included) oh what no Style Creator Bot,batteries not included) oh that will be future OS release ( the old pa4x had it included)
it's salesman talk just to keep you hooked you just keep waiting and waiting and waiting and then the PA 6 and then you wait and wait again it's Groundhog Day all over oh I forgot it's a new operating system we can't figure it out yet may be batteries not included you should go back to the old one that you maybe knew something about batteries included... da
it's like a woman that gets beat by her bad husband over and over again and won't leave him or get help because she still says I think he loves me so I'll take the abuse
The New OS update Will be in the OS update for the Pa5x soon but I love the keyboard ???
Patience not included..

Hello,
The complaining and criticism about the Pa5x doesn't stop here, some of you haven't even purchased one yet.
It's always something, keys that make noise (Pa5x88), functions that have not yet been implemented, operation is not like pa4x, etc... .
No constructive criticism whatsoever!
To make you feel sick!!!!
At the moment I can do many things on my pa5x that are very good and even fantastic and that certainly work no worse than Pa4x but are much easier to operate.
Is everything perfect? no, it never will be.
Not Yamaha, Korg, Ketron or whatever that can meet everyone's needs!!!
In the coming updates many things will be fixed, will there be any good criticism???
Meanwhile, there are musicians who do not complain and conjure up fantastic music from the Pa5x, you hear it well!!!
This man also shows what nice functions this keyboard has.
Let one thing be clear, it is not the keyboard, but the man behind the keys that does it!

For your information, I own a Pa5X, I have been vocal on this forum and to Korg directly, I have exercised constructive criticism where applicable and I am also very much justified in my 4500 quids worth of displeasure, including criticism where deserved...Yamko wrote:Hello,

So, 14 months later, if you don't mind, I intend to continue while Korg struggle to pick up the ball they dropped, all of course while we the customer are waiting for reasonable expectation to be recognised and fulfilled...
Have a nice day

And this is why even prospective purchasers can complain about a product they dont currently own, because the product does not deliver what it’s own marketing literature and documentation says it delivers .
The YouTube demo of someone making music on the pa5x proves what exactly ? That could have been a pa1000 . It means nothing .
Show me how easy it is to do detailed edits to styles , load in samples , create complex original music on the “ fully featured “ Sequencer.
Anyone can select a style and play along on YouTube on the most basic arranger .
Tell me why anyone in their right mind should pay thousand of pounds for an unfinished product even years after its original release ?

I hear what you are saying. And there are a lot of folks with Pa5x's out there that are really enjoying the instrument and learning how to maneuver around the instrument and its operating system. Some of the original documentation was misleading as the instrument exists in its current state. The largest amount of criticism centers around the ability to import sounds and implement these samples into new sounds, quick recording, and importing old styles etc into the new keyboard. Sample manipulation is a system that provides sound developers an avenue to "sell" their sounds to the people that own these keyboards but there are workarounds to manipulate sounds from existing sound samples in the instrument. Quick record can be worked around by recording to an outside DAW and then reintroduced into the instrument's filing system. Other 'niggles" have workarounds or don't, like all other PA systems out there. Unless you have a particular "issue" or procedural methods of working on your music as it is or isn't covered is a decision that each individual has to make on their own. Personally, I am really enjoying playing this instrument warts 'n all. Just remember each individual has the right to love or hate the product on their own criteria.Yamko wrote:Hello,

100% agree but respect those who serious do care about the huge amount of money that they have spent on an incomplete product.nitecrawler wrote:Personally, I am really enjoying playing this instrument warts 'n all. There are significant features that do not work correctly or are, in some cases, missing - I am talking about the PA5x's documentation.
In my country, this would be classed as a trade description violation. No, I'm not talking about the odd bugs that we expect with the likes of Microsoft etc... these are serious issues.
Right now, I could not use a PA5x in its current incomplete state to perform the music that I am currently used to with my past Korg keyboards - PA5x's current state is a backward step for me right now.
My biggest disappointment is Korg's absence of customer care - what happened? It was never like that in the past....
Take care

Again, buyer be aware! There are differing view points on this instrument and the company choices that is offering it for sale. Study it up and make your own choice.
