is it ok to use methylated spirits to clean the pcm slot on Wavestation?

Switch cleaner/lubricant, something like Servisol Super 10, sprayed onto the contacts of a PCM memory card. Place card in slot, withdraw, wipe, and repeat.

It's a long time since production of the Wavestation ceased, so parts aren't readily available. You could try contacting these people:
