So, ALL BUTTONS!!! - No knobs. Mic, Harmony?
Just 1 more inch of screen space
Yeah, OK - pointless asking - so far we have no information.
we're waiting Korg, come on!!!

Seems korg might have wandered away from using 3rd party stuff inside their keyboards, it really costs them a lot of money. They also left their relationship with steven kay and Karma in the kronos.duby2 wrote:Just maybe the mic harmony is just on the screen , off .. on .. and harmony ...

So this could indicate not having build in harmony anymore? It will keep prices down, and people that need harmony can easilly add an external unit.

Unless the knobs are the pushy kind of knobs that you can make sink into the keyboard like used on the nautilus.karmathanever wrote:So, ALL BUTTONS!!! - No knobs. Mic, Harmony?

The photos are propably prototypes on internal testing/marketing stages however are in tune with the video leak of a front pannel in a production factory some time ago, still they look promising and interesting. The final product though may look different. Time and patience will tell.
Regarding the topic, A new upgrade/update is needed and is long due. Korg Pa4x in my opinion is the best arranger at the moment however it can be much more with new improvements.
First Next OS needs an overall upgrade/update its slow and still have bugs some noticeable some not in my opinion not fit for future
More insert fx on each track 1-2 it's not enough, new sound engines even propably hardware board expansions for those who like to pay and have more power
a new sorting of programs libraries personally I'd like similar concept as in Kronos or any other korg workstation so you can find programs by categories not by remembering where u saved the sound. The same with samples and drums to categorize and find each sample by categories like kick drum, snare, claps, user costumized etc...
Biger screen and much better graphics, it's time for responsive and multitouch screen. let users create colour schemes for individual tastes not everyone have good vision and accessibility features should be embedded on the core os(zoom, bigger text, bigger menus, bold buttons etc).
Better and stronger buttons specifically on the start, enter/exit and fill/variations even on the Pa4X after some years they fail and get broken same in mine after 2 years and I have been careful not to push them to strong!
Bigger set size or this should be upgradable via expansions so if a user wants more pay more and buy additional ram or space whatever the best viable option and unlimited sample slots. sample slots for the drums or timeslice should be separated I think and categorized indipendetly from other samples.
Remove the old protected resources or give everyone to protect their sets or keyboard as they wish with password/lock not only for business purposes. All new personal devices this era have user security options embedded on the core system I think korg should do the same in terms of keyboards give users security options to protect their custom resources.
If they decide to linking it with WiFi and Internet better still they can distribute updates, sets and new patches safely through this system and make updates easier. This system can even work for online support or troubleshooting for errors or bugs.
Velocity akai style pads will be a great addition specifically for arrangers drums and perccasion
An official software pc/mac editor similar as korg pa manager they can be merged together or separate whatever is the best option but official propably even app/android/ios they can fund this via subscription service for all interested I mostly want from an editor advance sample management features. Searching, sorting, finding dublicates, etc...
Propably Bluetooth connectivity for external pads/midi/controllers etc... Possibilities are endless.
I mean all the upgrades above hardly will ever become true but that's in my opinion what can be a great and truly a master arranger keyboard for the 2022 era worth paying more and upgrading from pa4x.
Pa4X can still do some of the above with limitations but you need to spend a lot a lot of time polishing your set and you are restricted by the size of samples slots and other bugs within the os however still is the best in my opinion of any arrangers out there yamaha genos ketron or whatever.
Whatever korg decides to do I hope they don't kill of the pa line completely. Even if they decide to go for a new type arranger they need to put some efforts and give their loyal pa users some updates to keep the pa line going for another decade at least.

That'll be a showstopper for me....So this could indicate not having build in harmony anymore? It will keep prices down, and people that need harmony can easily add an external unit.

I think it's too early to indicate a line of thought without getting our hands on the final outcome (being the replacement for the PA4X) it could just well be that Korg have done enough to put one in mind to say.."I just can't live without this new keyboard"... and if this is the case and there has been a subtraction coming away from the PA4X (vocoder) a compromise (separate vocoder hardware) may turn out to be better in the sum of parts (New TOTL Arranger + Separate Dedicated Vocoder) after the PA4X.......just a thought

Yes I do understand your point of view (most definitely) my point is only if circumstances are out of our control and after the event of feeling very annoyed, then when the dust has settled and emotion has been removed, it could be...what at first may seem like a compromise turn-out to be better for a small inconvenience..... of course we all have our own personal sets of scales and I wouldn't want to diminish that but some times it's good to talkGiner wrote:Errrrr, yeah, sort of, D575 . . but I like all my toys in one box. Not so much for the guy whose gear is permanently set up at home, but the less bits and bobs and wires trailing about the better for gigging musos.

LOL.... You can't do that pete.... otherwise I will have to start a crowdfund here for a nice TOTL Vocoder to persuade you otherwise.....Humm now let's hope all this talk of missing vocoders turn-out not to be true.karmathanever wrote:D575 wrote:Let's hope this is not the case pete...otherwise what will all your parishioners here on the forum do with out your expert advise and inputIt's OK - I'll just be nearby on the Casiotone forums

Really depends on the key action, if they add the latest triole sensor high quallity fatar keybed with aftertouch, i will definately jump in. If they use korgs own rh3? The. I don’t know yet.macluit wrote:Woh

Thats why i actually really miss a module, arranger modules are just perfect, they allow you to use your prefered keybed to controll it.
