SQ-64 Newbie Question Syncing Real time Recording

When doing Real Time Recording to the SQ-64 using an external keyboard how do you get the sequence to sync up to the beginning of the pattern? and How do you match the tempo of the Real time recording with the tempo of the sequence if there is no internal metronome to follow?

Oh yeah and once again can we please have a dedicated SQ-64 forum?
