Midi connections

I have a Kronos that I would like to connect to a Yamaha PSR S-750. I know how to make the midi cable connection, but the technical content about channels, etc. is beyond my experience. Simply stated, I would like to know how to set up the parameters so that I can access the styles on the S-750. It is clearly more fun for a less skilled musician like me to have access to the styles library. I have had some limited success with prior attempts, but it would be appreciated if someone could point me to the proper approach to setting this up.
