Kronos - Roland FA

Post by Matthew1971 »

Hi

Have both boards and looking to control the sounds on both boards from Combis

So I know how to import a FA sound and play it on the Kronos

I have also worked out how to export a kronos sound to the FA.

What I don't know is how to register a FA sound in a combi and send it back up to the FA

Can this be done?

Appreciate any help you can give

Regards

you say '''export ''. Are you 'routing ' your FA to Kronos audio in ?

And 'routing ' your Kronos sound to the FA's audio in ?

So clarify terminology on that.

2] I don't follow this sentence. " register ? "

many apologies for my crap terminology, as you can probably tell I am on a learning curve in very deep waters!

When I say routing or export I mean through midi.

when I say register I mean, on a particular timbre within combi I have a sound from en external keyboard.

What I really want to do is within combi, be able to use the sounds from both keyboards and have the option of sending them to either keyboard.

So the bit I am stuck with is choosing an external sound within combi and then sending it back to play on the Roland.

Hope I am making sense

kind regards

Kronos has 2channel audio inputs for your FA audio outs.

I think thats the routing you need to do , in addition to midi.

Page 469 of the Parameter Guide explains how to set the Timbre Status on the Combi Timbre parameter/MIDI tab. Set the timbre status to EXT, EX2, BTH to play an external tone generator or, in your case another keyboard.
