Pa4x has compres. i understand that this os will make pa4x ultra compress. We will load sets according to 400mb level. Because in video, set seems 286 mb according to 1.5 gb. But under, the same set seems 86 mb according to 400 mb. it compressed as if using ultra compress algorithm.Bescki wrote:ebuzer52 wrote:
The man on the video had been loaded a set, that set approximately 280 mb and 10.000 more sounds. question; if it is 10.000 sounds from 280 mb set, if we use 800mb set, what will happen sounds after 17.028? Also, why it shows 400 mb, what s the mean of preload buffer size? Will it be 400 mb or 1.5 gb? if i have a set which its size 1gb, can not i load it to 4x? Why there is 400 mb, why there is 1.5gb? What are their mean?
After 10.000 samples we will put samples more carefully
Pa4x's physical RAM memory is 400mb. I think buffer memory will be loaded to RAM and other memory will be loaded to disk as temporary files...

No, its not exta compression. We will be able to have sets in 1.5gb, but ram memory will use only 400mb and other 1100mb will be used by keyboard disk as temporary file.ebuzer52 wrote:Pa4x has compres. i understand that this os will make pa4x ultra compress. Imagine, if your computer has 4gb RAM and you work in photoshop with 5 images that makes together 10gb, so how does this work? Photopshop uses memory to maximum and makes a temporary file in harddisk till you finish your job in photoshop. I think its a same concept

Most of you have confused the working method of streaming from eMMC (virtual Disk).
1,5GB of User samples using streaming mode will occupy 400 Mb of super fast Ram memory that has not been altered ,
or 3GB compressed samples using the same Ram as before , no matter of samples positions limit that is proportional to the overall size.
Streaming technology rips attack portions of samples in Ram memory (400Mb for user) and the rest portion of samples will be red from
eMMC internal memory that works as "disk" space for 1,5GB normal or 3GB compressed custom samples.
The only difference in 3GB samples size is that compression algorithm is employed using the same memory space 1,5GB disk & 400Mb Ram !
This is the way that PaSeries factory resources work anymore since 3 years in Pa4X/1000 & 700 and expected to be provided also for user samples.
So bear in mind that after OS3 upgrade , 3GB size of compressed custom samples will be available for users ...
Hope this helps

Just ordered my new Pa4x this morning so I'll be ready for the new OS release. I only hope it's as reliable and as my Pa3x of 6 years gigging etc. I will hang onto the 3x until all my files are safely migrated into the new board and looking forward to hopefully hearing an improvement on an already superb Pa3x.karmathanever wrote:CLEVER - that gives them another 12 monthsMaybe 29th?

You will not be disappointed... PA3X=suberb, PA4X= even better!keysman wrote:Just ordered my new Pa4x this morning so I'll be ready for the new OS release. Yeah agree - if you have to start a rumour, then don't do it here, but if you truly have some good genuine information then at least give us the source else keep it to yourself.
I think we are all over the rumours.
