Import of Files With D888

I'm trying to import a music file from my desktop computer (Windows 10) to the D888. I can get it in the D888 by dragging the file to a newly created SONG0000 folder on the D888. But it won't play. The music file is a wav, 44.1kHz 16-bit stereo file. But the D888 doesn't recognize it (I guess). I need some help.
