Shared withed 4X as I have both.
I bought a Roland D-05 module, which uses USB power.
When I connect it to the Pa3X it powers up, then off instantly and scrolls through on/off continuously.
Pa3x is listed as supporting USB 2.0, so should this not work?
Not long after I bought 3x (Jun '11) i was using a little light in usb, all good.
Tried a Roland A800 keyboard - nothing.
Tried charging an iPhone - same as D-05 - enough to start, but not enough to keep it going.
any suggestions?
I haven't tried it with Pa4X yet, as I have 3x set up at home

It sounds like the module is reasonably power hungry so I think it best you supply power separately with say an old iPhone charger. I used to plug led lights etc into my Pa3x but have given up this practice for fear the power demands might harm the Korg. You are fortunate that the midi connection can be done via 5 pin and power separately through the USB so you should be good to go.
