Kronos new SSD disk.

Post by dbx1214 »

I want to change my primary SSD to a new one in Kronos X. Have you any experience with this? How can I do this?

It worked great. I cloned the original ssd disk in a bigger and faster one. And on startup I can say the entire process speeds up around 40 sec

i bet. I can boot up my Kronos in 30 seconds sometimes less on a good day.

Of course, I am not loading any samples. ;)

Even if your Preload.KSC is unchecked , you indeed load basic Bank "Rom" samples !
It's the same loading procedure in streaming mode as with custom samples but in different file formats.
Actually using a fast SSD (like Samsung EVO in video) with full Ram loaded of streaming samples (factory or User) ,
Kronos booting time is approximately 35 seconds faster than factory SSD according to my benchmark.

Samsung EVO is a Sata 3 SSD , but browse forum posts for verified compatibility of various SSD ,
I could not find any incompatibility with any SATA3 so far though !
