Micro SD Cards.... My experience report....

Post by Marrantz »

Over a year ago I installed a 64Gb Micro SD card into my Pa4x, I thought that I would let you guys know about my experience using it.

The card worked for a while not sure how long, then I started to notice that the SD card was not present in the storage device list and I had to restart the keyboard for it to be recognized until it got to a point when it didn't show at all no matter what I tried. I removed it and reinstalled it but it no longer worked.

I have now installed a 32Gb SD card and had no problems so far (couple of months).

Be interesting to hear other forum members experiences or if anyone has had any problems using SD cards above 32Gb.

Cheers

Hi Steve

I assume you unplugged the PA4X from the mains power when you first installed it?

Thanks Pete.....

Yep installed as per instructions Pa4X power off and power lead removed each time I have changed SD cards done by the book.

I was guessing that it was a compatibility issues as Korg have recommended SD cards up to 32GB. I just happened to have a spare 64Gb and tried it and it worked at first, but for some reason stopped working.

The 32Gb in there now has not shown any problems.

Cheers

I purchased a 32 GB chip quite a while ago but haven't tried it yet. All the chips I was using were above 32 GB and I was wondering the same thing. I am glad to hear everything is back. I haven't really missed having it because the front usb is plenty for me. But if I can see it, it means that the circuit is not broken.

Congratulations.
