Just saw this tonight. I think it's a bit gawdy-looking. First thing I thought of was the DX-7 Centennial! Interesting to see these limited color editions coming out.

As long as Korg is releasing these special editions I doubt a real successor for Kronos is in the works :( - but I'm pretty happy with mine!

I am wondering if the light weight LS88 will come as well (to Europe) or if they rather launch different versions for different regions. I am a bit confused.

all these manufacturing type cos have a strategy- and they look ahead 3-5 years.

after seeing the emphasis on software and investing in the Arp Odyssey, are these signals from Korg ?

I think so.

With the Kronos, that might be as good as it gets for the all around workstation.

even so, I think there is room for future OS upgrades.

It is interesting to see new case designs and OS changes being separately scheduled. That suggests to me that they are slowing development of the overall product range and squeezing out any bits of extra business possible. That could mean that they are developing the "next generation product" based on a new underlying architecture so they don't want to do anything else with the existing product except tweaking the parts used during manufacturing.

Compared with guitar manufacturers, keyboard manufacturers seem to have mostly missed the idea of doing slight variations of the same product with different colours and special editions (...signed by...). OK, Korg do have 3 Arps and various RK100s.

It's a stupid video clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nQf7BAkVsA
but it's about unboxing - Korg Kronos LS! From Korg site I didn't find Kronos LS in a planed instruments for NAMM 2017. Strange?
Best wishes.
