I have the 61 key version.

Today, for first time, my pa4x stuck at boot. It loaded resources fine then it stuck in os version screen.

After waiting almost 3 minutes, i turned it off using the power button, and turned on again and it booted fine.

I have the latest os installed (did global restore after).

I found the same thing. When I walk away from the keyboard, the keyboard turns off after two hours. I have mine set default so this is normal. But when I turn it back on after auto shutoff, the keyboard locks up in the os version screen. I have to turn the keyboard off and then on again to get the keyboard to work. This did not happen in v1.1.3 or v.1.2.0. This is a new bug.

Hi,
I use XG drum kits in my user styles
The styles work perfectly in my pa3x.
I load the style into the pa4x it shows Gm Kit instead of XG kit.
I go into record mode it shows piano instead of a drumkit.
I change it to XG kit1, copy the sounds to all the style part.
Write the style.
Exit
Turn off the korg. Turn it back on , the XG drumkit has defaulted to Gm kit.


I decided to record a drum track using an XG Kit

Drum track reads

Trk Drum. Standard Kit XG GM Piano. 127.000.000

Shouldn't that be showing XG Drum not GmPiano?

The Gm kits show up as Gm drum.


Really annoying as most of my user styles use XG kits.
Hopefully a bug not a faulty keyboard?

Pa4X conflict XG with GM bank Sounds OS "bug"
This has been confirmed after observations of user "rikkisbears".

How to reproduce that :
- Grab factory style "70's Guitar Pop" and save it in favorite 1
- Goto Record/Edit , change "Drum" track of Var 1 to GM/XG /P2/Rock Kit XG and save it there.
- All will be fine until you restart Pa4X , where this P2/Rock Kit XG is conflicted with P1/Power Kit GM , and the saved information is lost !
- Same had happened with user sounds in Pa600 earlier OS.

happening with the XG sounds too.
Ie XG steel guitar defaults to Gm Steel guitar.
Nylon Guitar 2x defaults to Real Nylon Gtr st
Etc
The Gm / XG sound bank in general appears to have this problem , not just the drums.

Hadn't picked up on it right away. With the drums it was very noticeable especially with the brush kit, I was getting zing's instead of brush sounds.
With the XG guitar sound for instance, it was the name that made me realise something wasn't right.

OK.Hello to everyone.
There is a BUG on pa4x if you set DRUM,BASS,ACC...etc. on EXTERNAL and save that style to have EXTERNAL and not BOTH wich is default by factory....If you go from that saved style to another for example factory style wich have all ov the tracks on BOTH then it will not going to change sounds in that new style.The sound will be from the previous style,the one that have EXTERNAL set up.So for everyone who want to work with EXTERNAL midi it is not possible to work.
One thing that I have noticed is if you go to another Variation or Fill it will change to sounds that are default for that STYLE.

That was the BUG.
It is on 1.21 O.S.

Also in 1.21 O.S. you cant save transpose for styles anymore.So now you can only save transpose for songbook so every song that you need to play on a live gig you must have songbook entry for that song.
What is the problem?It is when you have 300 songbook songs and then you go to the live gig and singer asks for some song that you dont have in a songbook than you need to go to the USER 1 or FAV8 and select style and select STS1-4 or some KBD SET but then if your last SONG was transposed in songbook then a new style is transposed also and you need to remember that and to put transpose on a 0.

These two major mistakes by creator of this OS are HUGE.

Also I must admit that there is another BUG in pa4x that is from pa3x and that is sometimes when I select Song and STS1 then UPPER1 is not LOUD....Upper 1 is on 127 but it is on 60 maybe......And when I go to the SOUND mode and then return to STYLE PLAY it is OK.Then UPPER 1 is LOUD.
This was a BIG PROBLEM for me when I was on PA3X and I play with my PC COMPUTER as EXTERNAL and some Upper 1 and also some Style Tracks are not on BOTH ,they are on INTERNAL or EXTERNAL and that is a reason maybe for this problem too.

I cant belive that this is happening again.....

Tonight is my first LIVE GIG....I will se if there are some old bugs and problems from pa3x...Like if I go from one style to another and then play with right hand on a first bar,right from start.....when I rush it that transpose is not from new style it stays from previous style.That is something that was driving me crazy and I was much slower as a musician when there is a SONG STYLE and then FILL to another SONG STYLE....I must wait 1 BAR and then FILL and only then to start to play with right hand.That was on PA3X now I will see what is happening tonight.

OK.I was on my first live gig tonight and major problem is with one style.When I selsect song from songbook that style of mine is crashing my PA4X.

I tried 4 times.ON,OFF and always the same .If I select that Style there is a BUG whole pa4x from that point of time cant play with one or two tones in left hand.It doesnt change chords.Only if I press 3 tones chord.I tried to set up Chord Recognition to some other that Advanced and nothing happens,SHIFT + START ,Sound mode,seq,song play.....nothing helps....Just RESTART....
I was so ashamed ......

So i deleted that style.....I have it in another place in FAVROITEs but I deleted it from songbook song also.....

Tomorow is another LIVE GIG....

I have had some other problems with vocalist maybe.But I am not shure.I will check first ......

Your problems are sounding unique and I am wondering if you have a faulty PA4X.

I am happy to try your "style" on my PA4X if that helps your process of elimination in figuring out what is happening.
I see that you have the latest OS and hope you performed the factory restore after the update (guessing you did).

Tell us a little more about the crashing style - e.g. does it use sampled sounds, is it your own creation, is it a 3rd party style, what was the style's origin etc....

I am also wondering if, from your other message above, your EXTERNAL MIDI is causing the problems - can you please explain in some detail how you have set this up, the filters you've applied, etc...etc...

Just trying to get a clearer picture of your set-up.

Yes I did factory restore after OS update.I did id 2 times and STYLE still crashes mu pa4x.Yes I can send you my STYLE it is my creation maybe there are some FACTORY elements.It is a good,normal style and everything is OK with it if I play it from USER 1.But in these couple of days I copy that style on another place in FAV1 and gave it another name and I changed STS1 and then I made songbook entry with that "new" style. That Style works OK in user 1 and works OK in pa3x.

There is no problem with my EXTERNAL PC because I worked with Pa3x and my PC for about two years now.And I go from USB cable to PC....It is MIDI OUT only...I tried to go just with midi out but there is no difference.

Did you try to save style with all EXTERNAL and then to change to FACTORY style with all BOTH?It is ok for me when I press FILL or change VAR ....But in VAR1 those sound are not good.They are from previous style and there is a BUG of some kind....I can record video.
