KP3 External Control Presets?

I have recently decided to venture into the external controller feature of the Kaoss Pad and find one thing confusing.

When going into external controller mode ( SHIFT - 8 ), the LCD display shows P.001, P.002 etc. I have the Kaoss Pad being controlled by the KP3 Editor and I am able to send data to and from absolutely fine.

Does anyone know if you can save different presets for the external control into these program banks displayed by the LCD? Or can you save them at all in this way, or am I completely off track and you can only set one external controller preset?

Apologies if this is super obvious, I've been trying all sorts with no joy.
